YVPS contracts Devon Norse to provide school meals in our own professional kitchens. Meals are cooked fresh every day, include vegetarian options, and follow a three-weekly cycle of menus.
For children with special diets such as coeliac, dairy intolerance and wheat intolerance, Devon Norse provides a special diet registration form for parents/guardians to complete and return to the school.
We believe that eating in school should be a pleasurable experience: we aim for a moment of calm and reflection before we begin our meal, and value the time spent sharing good food with peers and teachers. There are two sittings: the first is for years 1, 3 and 5, and the second for years 2, 4 and 6. The older children look after the younger ones in a family-style dining environment. (Nursery and Foundation children eat separately).
School meals cost £2.10 per day.
