In the libraries we have been considering how we can help make sure our children have plenty to read even if the schools have to be closed for a time. We will be allowing children to take home more books than usual so that we can be prepared, so do encourage them to come along to the library and stock up.

We also have another suggestion.

Did you know that you can borrow ebooks and audiobooks for free from our wonderful local public libraries?

Libby and Borrowbox are free apps that have a wonderful range of ebooks and audiobooks available on them to borrow and read or listen to.

You will need your library membership number and PIN so if you are not already a member, or can’t remember your PIN code then do go to one of our local libraries to sign up. Find the opening hours of your nearest one here.

Once issued with your membership number and PIN you can download the Libby and Borrowbox apps and get them set up. If you need any help then do contact one of our librarians, or of course, ask at the local public library.
