Year 6 participated in a very different sports day this year but did not let their lack of audience stop their spirit. Their endurance was tested straight away with the 600m long distance race which was won by Faith and Leon . Then we split into groups to complete the next round of athletic events.

This year, our throwing event was discus, which showcased the talents of Kye, who came first in the boys' event and gave Faith her second gold of the day! Impressively, James won bronze in this event despite suffering from an injury on Friday. 

Up next, the children completed the standing triple jump which was won by Connor and provided Faith with her third win of the day! Well done to Maddie, Kaydence, Tilly and Asla for also winning joint Silver and Bronze awards, Ben for his silver and Josh and Leon for joint bronze.

Finally, the sprint races really highlighted the Year 6 competitive spirit with the children putting in an amazing effort to beat their personal bests. The boys especially worked really hard to beat their times providing a near photo finish! Congratulations to Leon and Faith for getting gold in this event, Tilly and Connor for their silver award and Jess and Dillan for getting bronze. An extra big well done to Faith for winning gold in each event.
