How to use your World Book Day vouchers:
World Book Day is a great opportunity to celebrate books and reading through author visits and dressing up as our favourite book characters. Also, it provides every child with a £1 book token which you can use to either buy a book specially written for World Book Day or to put towards a book or audiobook of your choice.
This year, these book tokens are available both as paper copies which you can collect from your child’s teacher, and as digital tokens which have already been sent to you with a letter about World Book Day.
Please see below for key information on how to spend these tokens.
Digital or paper book tokens:
As mentioned above, the World Book Day organisers have created digital book tokens as well as their usual paper versions, in order that more children will be able to access them when so many have been learning from home.
You will have already been sent a digital World Book Day token (please note, unlike the paper versions, this token is the same for all children and is not specific to your child). If you have a printer at home, we recommend you print it off as more booksellers will be able to accept it when it has been printed. If not, you can see if they will accept the token on your phone/tablet screen, or you can request a paper book token from your child’s teacher.
The World Book Day tokens are meant to be 1 per child, so please choose the version that best suits you; either a paper or digital token.
£1 World Book Day books or £1 off a book you really want:
The book tokens can be used in two different ways. The first is to use your token to buy 1 of the 11 World Book Day books shown in the picture below.
Alternatively, you can use the voucher to get £1 off a book of your choice.
